University of New Haven
Model United Nations
ChargerMUN
Sunday,
October 27, 2024
Dear Model United Nations Delegates:
We invite you to the Fall 2024 ChargerMUN high school conference. The conference will be held in-person at the University of New Haven's West Haven campus on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Feedback from previous participants has been overwhelmingly positive and we are excited to finally welcome you all back to have an in-person MUN conference.
As in the past, we expect participation from a number of high schools and over 150 delegates. Top performing school delegations will receive plaques and outstanding delegates will receive certificates.
ChargerMUN will run simulations of two United Nations' committees, including the Security Council and the General Assembly, and discuss a number of important global topics. Students will work in teams to create, discuss, debate, and negotiate solutions to a global problem. Experience and extensive preparation are not required as all participants will have access to a committee and topic background guide. Position papers are optional, though, those who submit a position paper could win a position paper award.
