ChargerMUN

December 3, 2022
Dear Model United Nations Delegates:
We invite you to the Fall 2022 ChargerMUN high school conference: "Overcoming the Challenges that Confront the World Today." The conference will be held in-person (COVID-permitting) at the University of New Haven's West Haven campus on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Feedback from previous participants has been overwhelmingly positive and we are excited to finally welcome you all back to have an in-person MUN conference.
As in the past, we expect participation from 10-20 high schools and over 100-150 delegates. Top performing school delegations will receive plaques and outstanding delegates will receive certificates.
ChargerMUN will run simulations of two United Nations' committees, including the Security Council and the World Health Organization Committee, and discuss a number of important global topics. Students will work in teams to create, discuss, debate, and negotiate solutions to a global problem. Experience and extensive preparation are not required as all participants will have access to a committee and topic background guide. Position papers are optional, though, those who submit a position paper could win a position paper award.
